Accessibility Statement

A colourful illustration of accessibility graphics, symbolising online accessibility

This is a small website, but accessibility is still important to us. And we’re always working to improve our support. We value your feedback and invite you to review our accessibility statement below.

Support

The layout of our website is novel, but we still use hierarchical structure and semantic HTML tags. Where appropriate, we implement WAI-ARIA tags. Keyboard shortcuts are well-supported. Images are properly documented. Despite the home page’s inventive design, it collapses to produce clear content for screen readers.

Conformance

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We currently conform with most elements of WCAG level AA. Additionally, we support some elements of Level AAA.

Compatibility

We focus our support on operating system assistive technologies in Windows and macOS. GNU/Linux support varies by distribution. As modern browsers are also all WebKit based, we target that architecture. Additionally, we place a priority on third-party screen readers

Limitations

Our primary limitation on AA and AAA conformance is a lack of support for sufficient contrast ratios. We’ll target that with a separate CSS class. The contact form on our home page is embedded in toggle-state element; to ensure accessibility, we also have a stand-alone contact page.

Assessment

Our WCAG compliance is self-assessed using compliance tools. They have indicated full compliance with the AA standard aside from our contrast limitations.

Feedback

Please let us know if you encounter any barriers to accessibility here, or have suggestions as to how we can improve our support. We have a stand-alone contact page for accessibility.
